Global Technical Specialist / Pre sales Consultant

The Technical Specialist provides an important link between the development team and the geography based technical specialists responsible for pre-sales proposals and demonstrations. Some of the key elements to the role are as follows:
- Solid domain expertise in vertical markets such as mining, manufacturing and minerals industry sectors
- Provide input into product development plans
- Manage technical pre-sales engagements with clients in conjunction with sales team
- Work closely with the geographies to grow the knowledge base of its technical specialists
- Manage technical content for customer proposals
- Assist in the delivery of formal training courses to our customer base
- Work closely with customers to generate case studies and reference sites.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in business or IT discipline or relevant industry experience
- Proven track record of delivering software demonstrations to industries such as manufacturing, mining, minerals processing or metals industry
- Exposure and understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong technical background such as programming knowledge (C++, C#, Java) and RDBMS experience (SQL server or Oracle)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to travel, 15% of time, Short duration trips.
A generous salary will be paid commensurate with experience in the range of $90k plus super.
